About us

The family's enterprise in the Strip began in 1940 and has run through cinema, commercial agencies, fruit packing and, since 1972, engineering. Two generations built it. The brothers who founded Al Saamir Group are the third, with nearly fifty years of experience between them.

Rebuilding is not only structures. It is getting the Strip's economy, its trades and its people working again. Al Saamir Group was formed for that work, and it is the measure we apply to every programme we take on: does it put people, plant and supply lines back to work, in order.

The owners have spent more than twenty years in international procurement and industrial supply, serving major engineering and construction contractors and government programmes. The management lives and works in Gaza and knows its authorities, its trades and its suppliers. The company can therefore work at both ends of a programme: with the international firm that leads it, and with the people who carry it out.

The quality of our people is what we are judged on. Through its sister company, Saamir Mechanical Services, and the network built around it over five decades, the company can assemble teams of engineers, tradesmen, plant operators and drivers at the scale a programme needs, source and import materials and equipment, and move them to site. Licences and permits are obtained before a field of work begins.

• With NGOs and development agencies, on programmes in the Strip.
• Each field of work is taken up once its licences and permits are in place.

Saamir is written with a double A. In our logo, the two As become two chevrons leaning forward: building, rising, moving ahead. In Arabic, the two alifs of السامر carry the same orange.

Al Saamir Group is a sister company of Saamir Mechanical Services, which operates separately under its own name.
